Applerose Returns With A Bang!


Fares Pitches Strong Helping Troy Win 3-1

Troy traveled to Savannah High School on Wednesday, March 11th.  Pitcher Sara Fares would have a great day in the circle.  Taking a no hitter into the fifth before giving up her first hit, Savannah would score there only run in the sixth on a double by Savannah’s shortstop, Shook.  Fares was never in trouble as she finished with zero walks and two strike outs, pitching seven innings to even up her record, 2-2.

Dani Applerose returned along with Jena Rubio from their CIF Championship soccer season.  Applerose quickly made her presence felt by doubling to the fence in the first  inning and stole third, scoring on Morgan Conrad’s RBI grounder to third.  In the third inning, with Allexis Bennett on, Applerose would double to score Bennett.  On the day Applerose would go 2-2 with a walk and a run scored along with an RBI.  AD Cornejo would have a two nice running catches in right field supporting Fares’ efforts.
