Troy Loses In Extra Innings
Bats Are A No Show For Troy
Troy’s opening game in the Savannah Tournament, against Paramount, didn’t have much excitement to it. Troy would only muster up three hits in the eight inning game. Allexis Bennett opened the game with a single in the first, would steal second, advance to third and scored on a wild pitch for Troy’s lone run. Fares pitched all eight innings scattering 8 hits. She took the loss when the game went to an international tie breaker. With the bases loaded and two out in the eighth, Bustos of Paramount, lined a single up the middle to produce a run. Troy would have the tying run on second. A missed bunt sign, advancing the runner to third, made it tough for Troy to tie the game. Troy’s Record fell to 6-6. |
