Cornejo's Hit and Fares' Pitching Knock's Fullerton
Out Of Playoffs!

The Indians visiting Troy on Thursday would need to win to make the playoffs. The Warriors having had a tough season would love to end the season on a good note, and beat their cross town rivals. The game would be a tough fought game for both teams, wanting to beat each other for some sort of bragging rights.

Fares pitching strong held the Fullerton offense down through 4 innings giving up just 4 hits and stranding 4. Rains would match her through 4 innings giving up 1 hit but walking 3. All 3 walks coming in the 4th loading the bases, but would pitch out of the jam.

5th inning would be tough one for Troy, Fares pitching strong would give up a run as Troys defense would commit 2 errors.

Bottom of the 7th and looking like another 1-0 loss, Rubio pinch hitting would draw a walk. Victoria Guillroy would lay down a perfect bunt moving Rubio to second, Alyssa Felipe would draw a walk. Bennett at the plate and Felipe now on second after a steal, Troy had an opportunity to win the game with a hit. Bennett would fly out to short leftfield, to shallow for Rubio to score as she held. AD Cornejo at the plate would battle fouling pitches off, then would deliver a base hit up the middle scoring Rubio and Felipe with the winning runs. It was an exciting game for Troy as they would eliminate Fullerton from the playoffs. Second year in a row Troy played spoiler, as they knocked Sunny Hills out of playoffs in last years final game.
